Influence of the indigenous languages on the national varieties of the Spanish polynational language

The article discusses the problem of the influence of the indigenous languages on the Bolivian, Chilean and Puerto-Rican national varieties of the Spanish polynational language using axiological factor. The purpose of the article is to identify the cultural identity and ethnic values of the Bolivians, Chileans and Puerto-Ricans and to show how their influence determines the use of lexical and grammatical units, especially borrowings from the indigenous lan-guages in speech. The examples of the words and suffixes of the indigenous origin from oral and written speech of the Bolivians, Chileans and Puerto-Ricans were taken for the analyses. The method of continuous sampling, the compara-tive method and the methods of linguistic observation and description were used to solve the task. Based of the material analysis, the significance of the value of “traditions and culture”, “gastronomy”, “friendship”, “generosity” is deter-mined and the implementation of these concepts on lexical and grammatical levels in national varieties of the Spanish polynational language is shown. The results are applicable for studying Hispanic cultural indentity, teaching Hispanic studies and its varieties, general linguistics, social linguistics, psycholinguistics, cultural linguistics, cross-cultural communication, axiolinguistics and cultural linguistics and may be useful for general linguistics. References are rec-ommended for writing course papers and theses.
