The article considers influence of the closest social environment (family and beyond family) on the development of personality during artistic education. Basing upon the methodology of social and psychological relation analysis the author carries out a comparative research in the groups of the art and economy department’s students, and concludes that for the students-artists the like-minded people are more relevant than their relationship with family, while the students-economists appeared to be closer to their relatives.
