Influence of buddhism on communicative culture and development of cognitive activity of the buryats

The article analyzes the impact of Buddhism on the communicative culture and development of cognitive activity of the Buryat people. Thanks to this world religion, hospitality, respect for people, high value of human life, peacefulness, kindness, responsiveness, readiness to help others, mercy, compassion for all living things and other positive qualities have become fixed in the communicative culture of the Buryats. For centuries the representatives’ activity of the Buddhist clergy has been associated with the authority of knowledge in Buryatia, and the Datsan schools have been the centres of education expanding learners’ cognitive horizons.
