The impact of digital technologies on the activities of electric grid companies

The article presents the main trends and forecasts in digital areas of development for various areas of the electric power industry - the use of digital doubles, virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence, etc. The main barrier to the effective implementation of digital technologies is the lack of an integrated approach to their use and the inability to adapt them in their activities. The paper analyzes digital technologies used by electric grid companies, describes the effects obtained in each business process from their implementation, and provides examples from the practice of domestic and foreign companies on the use of digital technologies.
