The relevance of the topic is determined by the change in the structure of the chemical industry in connection with the consequences of COVID-19. The purpose of the article is to identify new trends in the chemical industry and new approaches to its development. In the course of the work, the following methods of scientific research were applied: general scientific methods: comparison, analysis, synthesis, analogy. The article discusses current changes, problems and trends in the chemical industry in the context of the pandemic, as well as approaches for further development and adaptation of chemical industry companies.
