Coronavirus infection, or COVID-19, has completely changed the course of life around the world since March 2020. However, there is still no clear understanding of the impact of the coronavirus on our society and culture. This study aims to examine the social and cultural impact of coronavirus infection in order to better understand the COVID-19 pandemic. The impact of the pandemic on the field of education was awash with duplicity: apart from negative effects, it was a case of positive consequences — acceleration of development of digital technology in process of training. COVID-19 also reminded of the significancy of spiritual growth. The pandemic led to the digitalization of the cultural sector — development of online formats promoted recreational services. Nevertheless, it became obvious that it is impossible to replace such “live” events. The resulting crisis situation made people change their daily routine. Quick change of lifestyle gives rise to internal rebellion, sensifies the uncertainty and unpredictability. The incapability to handle the situation in current environment causes stress. Economic recession and job loss increase unrest, and thus, anxiety. The society has to adapt to the current conditions in a rapidly changing world.
