The impact of demographic factors and changes in the structure of employment on the Russian social insurance system

The impact on the Russian social insurance system of the factor of demographic aging, and the changes occurring in the structure of employment of the population are analyzed. The decision to raise the retirement age in the Russian Federation from January 1, 2019 is critically assessed. The main problems of the functioning of the social insurance system in the conditions of growth of self-employment, incomplete and illegal employment of the population are revealed. The prospects for the development of the Russian social insurance system in these conditions are forecasted.
