According to the data of some studies, the patients suffering from depressive disorders have lower parameters of heart rate variability (HRV). Aim: to measure the parameters of HRV in patients after myocardial infarction (MI) with depressive disorders in comparison with patients without depressive disorders. All patients were male and they were examined by Holter - ECG. All patients were divided into 2 groups. Group 1 included 19 patients after MI with DD. Group 2 consisted of 15 patients after MI without DD. The groups did not significantly differ in age and principal clinical and anamnestic parameters. Depressive disorder patients after MI have decreased HRV. Reduced HRV is an independent predictor of death.
