The article is devoted to the study of the influence of parent-child relations on the process of socio-psychological adaptation of primary school children. The approaches to the study of social and psychological adaptation in psychological science were considered, the studies of the family influence on the development of the child's personality and the features of its adaptation mechanisms were analyzed. The aspects of education in families with a harmonious type of parent - child relationship, as well as the education of children in families with dis harmonious type of parent - child relationship.
