This article examines the impact of telecommuting on the economics of organizations. With the development of technologies that enable telecommuting, many companies are adopting this approach to work organization, gaining certain economic advantages. The familiar boundaries of office spaces are blurring, and daily commuting is becoming a thing of the past in some companies. The growth in telecommuting has become a dominant phenomenon in recent years, changing the dynamics of professional life. Telecommuting allows employees to work outside the traditional office environment, which in some cases has a positive effect on the overall costs of organizations and on the change in the quality of life of the employees themselves. The concept of telecommuting is based on the idea that in order to successfully complete work assignments, it is not necessary to perform them in a specific location. This format of employee work is a flexible mechanism that allows production tasks to be completed from anywhere. For example, in addressing issues of expanding a market segment by increasing the volume of services provided, many organizations successfully use telecommuting for a growing staff without the need to increase office space. While demonstrating the economic benefits of organizations, the authors of the article note that the introduction of remote work also has a number of disadvantages that affect the reduction of the economic effect. The revealed ambiguity of opinions regarding the economic efficiency of remote work emphasizes the relevance of this study.
