The article presents the materials of the experiment on the addition of sunflower oil to the diet, which promotes the transport and intensification of fatty acids in arterial blood in animals, as well as the grouping of individual acids. Experimental animals were given three different feed rations according to the Latin square method. In group I, grass, cottonseeds and barley fell on the share of food. The level of fat in this feed was 3%. In groups II and III, by adding sunflower oil to the feed part, we increased the amount of lipids in the feed part to 5% and 7% of the dry matter content, respectively. The content of fatty acids in the samples was determined on a chromium chromatograph by gas-liquid chromatography. Fatty acid methylation was carried out according to the Stofel method. The addition of 7% sunflower oil to the diet of lambs results in the transport of more saturated fatty acids into the hepatic portal vein 5 hours after feeding.
