The article deals with the research results of the "speciality" and "gender" effect on the usage of aspect forms of verb. The proportion of perfective and imperfective verbs used by informants is analysed on the base of spontaneous written language. The results have shown that perfective verbs are more often used by men than by women. The "speciality" factor does not have its own effect, but the "speciality in humanities" gradation intensifies the "gender" effect.
