The impact of the financial and economic crisis of 2008-2010 in Russia on criminal legislation

The article traces logically the most significant alterations introduced in the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation due to the economic and financial crisis of 2008-2010. It is substantiated that some of the amendments are questionable. The author draws attention to the fact that changes in the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, introduced during the period of the financial and economic crisis, were made with infringement of the principles of criminal law.
