Influence of the financial crisis on the standard of living of the Russian population

This article is devoted to results of the study of living standards of Russia and its regions in the period of economic growth in 2002 to 2007 and in the financial crisis of 2008-2009. Critical social problem of modern Russia is a large-scale poverty of population in the majority of regions, which depends on the number of economic, sociodemographic, settlement and political factors. On the Rosstat's data show the variation of poverty of population in regions with different socio-economical situation as a result of change of situation on the regional labour markets, which usually first to react on the economic shocks.
