Multimode optical fiber core deviation influence on signal propagation uder few-mode conditions

Time-domain model of piece-wise regular multimode fiber link is presented. It allows to evaluate pulse distortions due to differential mode delay, higher-order mode chromatic dispersion, and mode coupling. Based on developed model, results of computing of pulse form, propagating along two 500 m samples of graded multimode fibers with low and huge central dips in profile center region, excited by VCSEL with quite low offset, under different core deviation order are proposed.
