The author, using the method of deduction, makes an attempt to identify patterns of the development of the insurance market and the justification of the fundamental economic laws. It is confirmed that the study of the objective requirements of economic laws and their impact on the insurance market may explain the behavior of participants of the insurance market and determine the future direction of its transformation.
