The markers of bone metabolism, allowing to control the course of regenerative process and to determine the duration of short-term and long-term adaptation phases were defined in 19 patients with achondroplasia at the age of 9-11 years, who were treated by the method of transosseous distraction osteosynthesis and subjected to HBO sessions. Use of HBO sessions was established to be the most effective in the early postoperative period. HBO creates favourable conditions for the course of the productive osteogenesis phase in fixation period by reducing the duration and level of bone metabolism catabolic phase in distraction period.
