The impact of the geopolitical crisis on the Russian insurance market

The Russian economy, after the announcement of various sanctions by foreign countries, is forced to adapt to new realities. The interconnection of economic sectors allows the negative trend to spread as far as possible, creating difficult situations. A strategically important sector of the economy is the insurance market, which is closely connected with a substantial number of business segments. The article discusses the main problems faced by the insurance market after the geopolitical disagreements of 2022-2023. The position of CASCO insurance and the consequences for this type of insurance after leaving the Russian market of official car dealers are considered separately.
