Influence of a state policy in the sphere of informatization of culture on development of corporate cataloguing in the Republic of Crimea: new realities taking into account experience of libraries of the Russian Federation

Integration of the libraries of the Republic of Crimea into the Russian library community is the vital task of today. The current situation along various vectors of library activities, in automation and informatization system modernization, in particular, is of particular interest. Using comparative characteristics and quantitative parameters of the recent twenty-year period, the author analyzes in detail the historic stages of informatization in the library sector of the Republic of Crimea, and defines prospects for the corporate activities of the libraries. The effects of the national informatization policy, international library cooperation, participation in the international "Crimea" conference on corporate cataloguing in the Republican libraries within Ukrainian, and later - Russian Federation library network are discussed. Summarizing facts on Crimea regional programs and projects previously unknown to the Russian professional community, the study appears to be of scientific and historic importance.
