The effect of plant density and fertilizer doses on the productivity of sunflower

The aim of the research is to theoretically and practically substantiate the sunflower cultivation under conditions of rainfed lands of the Central Tajikistan, to develop optimal parameters for agricultural elements that provide high and stable yields with low cost-price of seeds and with increased oil content. Achieving this goal required solving the following tasks: to study peculiarities of growth, development and formation of yield of sunflower seeds, depending on plant density, fertilizer dose and varietal composition. The research results showed that the sunflower hybrid Kharkovsky-50 is more productive under a dose of fertilizer N45P45K45 kg per ha with a plant population of 40-60 thousand plants per a hectare. The application of an increased dose of mineral fertilizers does not contribute to a significant increase in seed yield under these conditions.
