It is shown that surgery has a positive effect on subjective vestibular disorders, but objectively, the frequency of spontaneous nystagmus was not significantly different from preoperative levels. Forecast for objective improvement of vestibular function is better in patients with absence of spontaneous nystagmus before the surgery. Possible timing has been identified for assessing the effectiveness of the operation in respect of the cochlear and vestibular function.
