The article is devoted to the study of the development of coherent speech in children of the senior preschool age with general underdevelopment of speech of the third level. The characteristic of connected speech is given. The use of drama games as a means of developing speech of this category of children is considered. The necessity of using the fairy tale as a source of play-dramatization of preschool children is grounded.
