Objective: to determine the relation between the level of free radical oxidation and initial resistance to hypoxia in immunization conditions. The study was performed on 46 white rats. Animals were initially exposed to hyperbaric hypoxia. According to the results of testing all animals were divided into high-resistant (HR) and low-resistant (LR) ones. 30 days later the animals were thrice exposed to the three-hour immobilization stress with an interval between exposures of 24 hours. In plasma, blood and internal organs the content of molecular products of lipid peroxidation and carbonylated proteins was determined. LR animals in comparison with HR animals have higher levels of immune response after antigenic load. In HR animals reduced level of immune response is associated with low levels of lipid peroxidation products in the bone marrow and in the spleen. Reduced level of immune response that animals show at the immunization is associated with a reduction of free radical oxidation in the immune organs.
