The article examines the problem of the influence of individualistic and collectivist cultures on the development of students’ professional interests. A comparative analysis of students’ career priorities with different indicators of individualism and collectivism has been carried out, and the relationship between cultural aspects and individuals’ professional inclinations and decision-making features has been revealed. The novelty of the work lies in the integration of cultural values into the framework of the study of career interests, which allows us to identify the impact of cultural differences on the choice of profession. The results show that individualistic cultures promote a focus on personal success, while collectivist cultures emphasize social harmony and shared values. These cultural differences should be fully taken into account when developing counseling and career-building training programs, especially when training specialists in a cross-cultural environment, and can serve as theoretical support for psychological counseling.
