The article analyses the influence of information as the most important economic resource of the 21st century on social and labour relations in the framework of the sixth information revolution. It shows that its role and importance are fundamentally changing: it becomes not only a result, but also an object of labour. The impact of information on social and labour relations leads to increasing intellectualization and individualization of labour, formation of asymmetric unstable model, precarisation, reduction of demand for labour on the part of high-tech economy. At the same time, the information and communication environment generates problems related to the limitations of people’s cognitive-perceptual activities.
