Influence of innovations on the theater: identifying advantages and challenges of digitalization in designing performances

The article analyzes different variations in the digital design of performances in modern Russian and foreign theaters. The authors conduct research in the context of the structuralist approach to art using structural analysis as the main method. The challenging character of the digital design is studied, its positive and negative aspects and also the issues of the necessity for constant renewal and development in the theater are considered. The analysis has allowed to reveal the advantages and challenges of using innovative approaches to digital performance design.
