The article examines the impact of the ongoing technological transformation of the labor market and organizations under the influence of technologies that can change the way goods are produced, which will have a serious impact on the demand for labor and labor productivity. On the basis of the factual material collected for the period 2010-2020 in the Russian Federation, the statistical marks of the transformation of labor potential engaged in research and development are analyzed.
