The influence of the institution of diaspora on the formation of the national-state identity of modern Russian society

The article examines the existing need for the institutionalization of diaspora organizations, which is emerging on the base of the current geopolitical agenda. The paper attempts to comprehend and analyze the relationship between the correct functioning of the institution of diaspora in Russia and the formation of the national-state identity of the citizens of the state. The author advances the opinion that the structuring of interaction between the state and the institution of diaspora is necessary for more effective implementation of foreign policy in the territory of the near abroad.
