The Influence of Historical Values of Anhui Culture on Patriotic Education of Students in the Chinese Universities

This research presents the results of a sociological study of the influence of socialist revolutionary culture (Red Culture) on the development of cultural, historical, patriotic and moral values among students in the Chinese universities nowadays. This study has the particular practical value in light of the 80th Anniversary of China’s Victory over Japan. The aim of the study is to explore in depth the role, challenges, and strategies for overcoming the difficulties associated with youth understanding of cultural and historical values through an examination of the political activities of Wang Jiaxiang, a leader of the People’s Liberation Army of China. The author identifies the key advantages and challenges of teaching the History of Red Culture of Anhui region to the students at regional universities in China and offers practical recommendations for improving the system of patriotic education for youth in the People’s Republic of China.
