Influence of Phlojodicarpus sibiricus (Steph. ex Spreng.) Koso-Pol. extract on lipid peroxidation in cerebrovascular ischemia of rats brain after hypoxia

The experiments have been conducted on the model of unilateral carotid occlusion and hypobaric hypoxia in Wistar rats. Phlojodicarpus sibiricus extract has been implied per os at daily dose 50 mg/kg (14 days) as a neuroprotective remedy. The level of malonildialdehyde (MDA) within the brain tissue homogenate has been determined by spectro Photometry. The treatment by Phlojodicarpus sibiricust has decreased the MDA level at brain ischemia.
