The article presents data from the studies on the effect of chemicalisation background, sowing time and seeding rate on the yielding capacity of grains of hulless barley variety “Omskii golozernii 2” (i.e. “Omsk hulless 2”) over the 2011-2014 period under the conditions of the southern forest-steppe zone of the Omsk Region. Against the background of non-chemicalisation, the average grain yielding capacity over the years of research amounted to 2.06 t/ha. In the treatment with the use of a tank mixture of herbicides, the increase in the yielding capacity if compared with the control sample amounted to 0.54 t/ha. When using herbicides and nitrogen fertilizer the yielding capacity reached 2.81 t/ha. Depending on the sowing period, the highest level of yielding capacity was observed in first-term sowing (May 14-18th) with 2.55 t/ha; when sowing was carried out 10 days later, the yielding capacity decreased by 0.02 t/ha, while in the case of sowing in the first decade of June there was a decrease of another 0...
