Impact of emotional intelligence on personal reliability of the internal affairs agencies’ officers-graduates of the Russian MIA educational institutions

The authors study theoretical approaches to understanding of the essence of personal reliability and emotional intelligence as a psychological phenomenon. The article reveals that officers with higher personal reliability possess a high level of general emotional intelligence, ability to read a person’ emotional state basing on external displays of emotions (mimics, gestures, voice sound), understanding the mental state of the people around. Using the method of regression analysis the authors develop a model of estimating personal reliability of the Internal Affairs agencies’ officers.
