The article examines the impact of the yuan exchange rate on Russia's trade with China in the context of changing economic conditions and the impact of international sanctions on Russia's trade in general. In the period from 2015 to 2024, there has been a significant increase in trade turnover between the two countries. In particular, this growth is due to the transition to settlements in yuan after the sanctions imposed against Russia. Using the least squares method, the article analyzes the relationship between the yuan exchange rate, inflation in both countries and Russia's trade turnover. As a result, both positive and negative aspects of the yuan's influence on Russian trade are presented.
