Influence of the feed quality on the mycotoxicozis emergence in cattle on the farms of the Orel region

The purpose of our research was to study the causes of mycotoxicosis in cows on the farms of the Orel region, to monitor mycotoxins in feed and feed raw materials, to carry out a comparative analysis of treatment regimens of ill animals. The experimental studies were conducted on cows of black-and-white breed at the age of 3-5 years old. It was found that the cause of mycotoxicosis in cows on the farms of the Orel region was T-2 toxin isolated from the straw affected by the mould of the genus Fusarium. The treatment of the ill animals was carried out according to two schemes. The animals of the first experimental group used "Zeolite - natural", that they were given along with the feed at a dose of 4% by weight of dry matter of the diet per day for 10 days. The animals of the second experimental group were prescribed "Fungistat - HPC" supplement in a dose of 100 g per head per day for 7 days with the feed. The hematologic examination of blood showed an increase in hemoglobin content by 19.8% and 21.8%, respectively, in the first and second experimental groups. According to the results of biochemical blood tests, it can be noted that in the first and second experimental groups the glucose content increased by 7.9% and 10.7%, total protein increased by 35.5% and 30.6%, urea - by 38.5% and 39,5%, cholesterol levels decreased by 16.4% and 17.4%, respectively, compared with the figures before treatment. Despite the effectiveness of both treatment regimens, the second treatment regimen proved to be preferable, since the complete recovery of animals was noted 3 days earlier. From an economic point of view, the second scheme also turned out to be the most efficient and profitable, since it was 1 rub. costs accounted for 41.45 rubles profit.
