In the teaching and experimental farm of Dagestan Agricultural University n.a. M.M. Dzhambulatov in the two-factor field experiment were studied three soybean varieties of VNIIMK’s breeding while maintaining 4 variants of irrigation regime: 60, 70, 80 and 90 % of field moisture capacity by means of drip irrigation. The results of studies showed that the most promising variety is the mid-season soybean variety Vilana the yield of which was 3.75 t/ha, while maintaining the preirrigation level of soil moisture at 80 % of field moisture capacity that requires 13-23 irrigations by rate of 150 m 3/ha depending on the weather conditions of the growing season. This type of irrigation also provides the lowest water consumption of all three soybean varieties.
