Influence of the intestinal microbiome on inflammatory skin diseases

Currently, inflammatory skin diseases such as psoriasis or atopic dermatitis are common. They have a complex multifactorial pathogenesis. Environmental and social factors aggravate the course of these diseases, which requires further study of alternative treatment methods and the addition of new groups of drugs in standard regimens. This article discusses the influence of the intestinal microbiome on the course of inflammatory skin diseases and the possibility of introducing probiotics as additional drugs in therapy.
