The article is devoted to the activities of the Commission for assistance to the control over observance of legislation on religious cults and its influence on the Tatar ummah in the Lyambirskiy district of the Mordovian ASSR. The author considers some methods of psychological pressure which were used by the Commission since 1960s to suppress and destruct religious cult.
