Influence major sporting events on development infrastructure of the region and its investment attractiveness

In this article discusses the impact of major sporting events on the development of infrastructure in the region. It is shown that at present the country which hosts major sporting events, often start their planning well in advance of the event itself (10 years or more), because the most important thing is to create the infrastructure for athletes, tourists and spectators, but also important to show the benefits of both materials (new sports facilities, new roads, hotels, modernized engineering infrastructure) and intangible (positive image improvement) that will get people and region from the implementation of large-scale project. On the basis of this study it can be noted that the regions received the right to host major sporting event, provided substantial resources for investment, however, rests the responsibility for their sustainable development.
