The influence of cultural connotation of animal images in Chinese and Russian languages

Chinese and Russian are part of the six official working languages of the United Nations, which indicates their great global importance. However, there is a large difference between them, due to belonging to different language systems, the civilizational originality of the East and the West. Due to the differences in cultures, religions, national conditions and customs of the two ethnic groups in China and Russia, there is also a differentiation of cultural connotations of their language field. First of all, it finds expression in words, the content plans of which are common and familiar to any nation – we are talking about the names of animals. In this article, we have chosen the names of domestic animals – chickens and sheep to study the similarities and differences in the cultural connotations of animal words in Russian and Chinese. It is concluded that understanding the peculiarities of the linguistic and cultural picture of the world of different peoples helps their representatives to build constructive interaction
