The influence of international relations in Asia-Pacific region on USSR'S / Russia's geopolitical positions in east central Europe

During bipolar period USSR's policy in Asia-Pacific region was determined to a great extent by the situation in East Central Europe. Raising of anti-totalitarian uprisings in ECE were accompanied by escalation of tension in Soviet-Chinese relations. Soviet-Chinese ideological antagonisms had played the role of catalyzing factor for intensification of revisionist movements furthered the success of struggle against soviet domination and made for the formation of new geopolitical reality. During post-bipolar period China is extending its presence in the region of ECE that became the object of RF's, UE's and NATO's military-political rivalry.
