Kurt Georg Kiesinger, chancellor of the grand coalition of the FRG 1966–1969

The article examines the key elements of Kurt Georg Kiesinger's chancellorship. The author concludes that the grand coalition was a temporary formation, but the ideas laid down by the black-red coalition could only be realized in the distant future. The main reason for this was that parties with equal coalition potential could solve their problems only by consensus.
