Бесплатный доступ

The article analyses the impact of international standards and regulatory requirements on the development of the packaging industry in the context of the transition to sustainable development. The key regulatory approaches of the largest markets (EU, USA, China, Japan), the structure of international standards (ISO, Codex Alimentarius, GS1), as well as the historical evolution of legislation in the field of packaging are considered. Special attention is paid to current trends - the transition to a circular economy, digitalization of packaging, the introduction of ESG principles and stricter control over plastics and hazardous substances. Examples of companies adapting to new requirements are analyzed, such as the introduction of biodegradable materials, digital tags, and tracking systems. A forecast is made for the further development of the industry, taking into account the unification of requirements, the introduction of digital packaging passports and the growth of innovation activity. Regulatory measures are seen as a driver of technological change, forming sustainable and transparent supply chains.
