Within the framework of this article, the influence of the motivation system created by the employer on the competitiveness of the organization is considered. The hypothesis about the role of external stimulation of labor motivation of personnel as a significant factor influencing the efficiency of economically significant activity of a market entity and its competitiveness as a whole is expressed and tested. The results of the study can be applied in the process of developing and implementing the motivational policy of commercial companies aimed at achieving strategic goals of growth, development and profit maximization.
