The effect of the PTO clutch on the load of the transmission unit

Currently, there is a further increase in the energy saturation of agricultural tractors and an increase in their overall efficiency (efficiency coefficient). Power take-off systems are widely used to improve the efficiency of tractors when they are applied as part of agricultural units performing technological operations with active working bodies of machines, for example, when cultivating soil with rotary plows or when performing harvesting and other types of work. Such machines take away part of the tractor engine power and transfer to the drive of the active working bodies through the PTO (power take-off shaft). According to the principle of operation, the PTO is divided into independent, dependent and synchronous. It can also be mounted on the tractor from the back, front or side. Their main functional purpose is to reduce the amount of torque realized through the driving wheels, and as a result, reduce slipping as well as improve the quality of technological processes. The article considers the dynamic process of operation of a hydro-controlled friction clutch which determines the dynamics of the increase in torque loading on the PTO shank. There have been carried out tests of switching on the PTO friction clutch by serial and experimental control cranes in two modes "Sharp" and "Operational". The loading of the transmission of a friction clutch with a hydraulic drive of agricultural units with active working bodies is investigated. The indicators of acceleration of the working bodies of the forage harvester KPKU-75 and potato harvester KKD-3 combines are given. There have been given recommendations are given based on the results of the study.
