Influence of nonstationary disturbances on slender body separation

On the basis of the slender body theory, an analytical solution of the aerodynamic problem of calculating the lift force and moment of rotation is obtained when a slender body is separated from a cavity or from an external suspension into a uniform freestream in the presence of external nonstationary disturbances of the vertical velocity. Solutions are obtained to three phases of body motion, viz. in a cavity, crossing a shear layer, and in an external flow. Formulas of forces and moments and their validation based on comparison of calculation results with experimental data for the motion of the slender body from a cavity into a supersonic flow in the presence of acoustic disturbances are presented.
