Low-molecular chitosan effect on the regeneration of a full-layer purulent wound in the experiment

The procedure of the formation of a full-layer purulent wound infected with clinic polyantibiotic resistant strait Staphylococcus aureus extracted from patients of a traumatologic and orthopedic hospital in rats is represented. Regenerative and antibacterial properties of the wound covering based on low-molecular chitosan are assessed. It is demonstrated that the use of the wound covering based on chitosan in animals with full-layer purulent wounds prevents from reinfection and abbreviates the time for their healing.
