We studied agricultural technics for cultivation of the local oil flax Hisor-10 (Gissar-10) under conditions dry farming lands (non-irrigated zone) of the Central Tajikistan. In conditions of poor lands in Tajikistan, where rainfed agriculture is one of the main sources of nutrition, in particular the production of vegetable oils, oil flax cultivation is of great importance in addressing the country's food security. Our researches demonstrated the optimal seed sowing rate for flax is 35 kg/ha (5.8 million germinating seeds per a hectare) for the conditions provided by rainfall of rainfed lands in this zone. For flax-growing zones of the Central Tajikistan, we recommend to use this optimal seed sowing rate for production of the flax variety Hisor-10. This method allows farmers and producers of the republic to get seed yield about 1.0-1.2 t per ha and 0.40-0.48 t per ha of vegetable oil.
