The influence of oxidants on the process of leaching of uranium ores from trans Ural

The process of Trans Ural uranium low-grade refractory ores leaching with sulfuric acid solutions containing oxidants was investigated. It was founded that process of leaching is greatly influenced by temperature and ferric ions and sodium nitrite concentrations. It appeared that application of oxidants resulted in an increase of leaching rate in 1,25-1,3 times. Optimal conditions of leaching process were discovered that made possible to extract 55% of uranium from ore.
