Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids effect on the metabolism of bifidobacteria

The effect of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids of linseed oil on the biochemical and metabolizing activity of bifidobacteria were studied. The optimum dose of addition of linseed oil in the culture medium has been chosen. It has been found out that the cultivation of bifidobacteria in the culture medium with linseed oil leads to an increase in polyunsaturated fatty acids.
