The Influence of Polymorphism of T-31C Gene IL-1 on the Development of Metabolic Syndrome in Patients with Arterial Hypertension

The aim of the research was to study the role of polymorphism of T-31C gene IL-1β and its correlation with clinical and biochemical parameters in patients with arterial hypertension affected by metabolic syndrome and without it. The study found the close relationship of genotype С/С with increased body mass index and the heterozygous genotype C/T with high cholesterol.
